Permissive Paid Time Off Professional onboarding and training options Powerful team looking forward to working with you Career coaching and development opportunities About the role: Reporting into the VP of Product, Marketing, and Sales, the Director of Sales will directly manage quota-carrying sellers and channel sales managers, ensuring every member of the team is executing against goals with rigor, accountability, and urgency. In this role you will focus on building a customer-centric sales culture, driving funnel discipline, coaching sellers to peak performance, and ensuring distributor partnerships are managed with excellence. To excel in this position, you will need to center everything you do on serving Sea-Bird’s current and future customers in a way that is mutually beneficial. Your customers’ success is your team’s success. This is a remote position with up to 50% travel for customer visits, meetings, conferences, and other business needs. In this role, a typical day will look like: Talent Development & Culture Hire, develop, and coach top-performing, customer-centric sales talent with clear expectations and measurable growth plans. Build a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement while developing future leaders. Funnel Discipline & Sales Process Execution Enforce rigorous funnel hygiene, CRM discipline, and consistent adoption of sales methodology. Ensure clear ownership and alignment with Commercial Operations and hold teams accountable for plan execution. Revenue Delivery & Target Achievement Own overall bookings performance and hold sales teams accountable to quota. Run forecast and funnel reviews focused on coaching, accuracy, and opportunity advancement. Indirect Sales Management Drive partnership and shared accountability with distributors through performance standards, scorecards, and regular reviews. Lead channel managers to ensure market coverage and delivery against bookings targets. Cross-Functional Execution Support Act as the link between Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure teams have the tools and feedback needed to win. Escalate and resolve customer issues swiftly through cross-functional collaboration. Global Cadence & Coverage Establish a consistent global sales rhythm (weekly metrics, monthly reviews, quarterly business reviews). Ensure local execution excellence while maintaining global alignment; travel up to 50% as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field
  • 7-12+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, including 3–5+ years in frontline leadership of global or multi-regional teams
  • Proven success managing both direct sellers and distributor/channel sales models.
  • Track record as a strategic sales leader skilled in data-driven decision-making and change management, including the ability to coach for consistent execution
  • Expertise in pipeline discipline, forecasting, funnel hygiene, account planning, and territory management
  • Hands-on experience with modern sales enablement platforms regularly (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
