About The Position

Under administrative direction, manages, plans, and is responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve financial targets. Duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. Reports to VP of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales director.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization including executive and corporate level.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access).
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Able to motivate, develop, and coach people to perform at their highest potential with the ability to select and implement the best teaching methods to facilitate desired outcomes.
  • Able to travel independently, both domestic and international, by common air carrier and automobile.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or related field; or a combination of education and /or experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Own and meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned sales division
  • Monitor competitors’ products, including relevant sales and marketing data
  • Develop an operating budget for the forestry sales division that meets business goals
  • Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals
  • Complete market research and analyze results to adjust sales and marketing strategy for maximum success
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization’s policies and practices.
  • Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
  • May initiate and/or authorize employee hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer.
  • Position will be considered for a hybrid remote arrangement with the expectation that 50% of time will be spent at the Wooster Ohio Manufacturing facility.
