About The Position

As the Director of Rooms, you will oversee all front office, housekeeping, and guest services operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. You’ll lead and develop department teams, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, a focus on service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across all room-related functions. You will be the operational leader of our hotel's guest experience, overseeing all aspects of the rooms division and ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. Your daily tasks will include managing the front office, housekeeping, and guest services departments, as well as monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements. You will report to the General Manager or Hotel Operations Manager. A career as a director of rooms can lead to opportunities in various executive-level roles within the hospitality industry, such as regional director of rooms, vice president of operations, or other corporate positions.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Sufficient education and/or literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • A warm, professional demeanor that reflects HVMG’s Culture of Excellence by showing a warm smile, friendly personality, and positive attitude.
  • A high school diploma, a GED, or one year of hotel experience
  • Previous experience in a similar or related position
  • A combination of education and experience
