The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for the overall policies, objectives and initiatives of the billing department, aiming to maximize revenue, ensure compliance and optimize the patient’s financial experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Healthcare related field with 5+ years in a management position.
  • Experience and knowledge related to all aspects of maintaining a successful revenue cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative support skills and strong leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, design, implement and oversee processes surrounding patient registration, insurance verification, coding and billing, third party payer and patient collections for all departments.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures regarding the revenue cycle with continuous review to ensure proper controls exist, procedures are followed and improvements are implemented.
  • Track and report metrics related to all aspects of the revenue cycle.
  • Review and maintain updates to fee schedules, PPS rates and sliding scales annually and/or as needed.
  • Manage relations with third party payers to maximize timely reimbursement and reduce denial rates.
  • Coordinate and oversee financial audits related to the revenue cycle process.
  • Assist with Medicare enrollments as a delegated official as needed.
  • Review and interpret contracts and ensure invoicing is consistent with contract.
  • Provides an example of accountability by following all Aviva Health policies and procedures.
  • Driving using a company or personal vehicle.
  • Additional relevant duties as assigned.
