The Director of Research Compliance and Privacy is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and privacy protections across all research activities. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations-including HIPAA, the Common Rule, and other applicable research protections. The Director leads research billing audits, conducts investigations, and develops training programs to foster a culture of research integrity and accountability. This position collaborates closely with the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and other corporate departments to ensure ethical conduct, data security, privacy, and risk mitigation. The Director also leads or supports institutional committees and initiatives related to research compliance and privacy and may function as a designated official/officer within research compliance and privacy policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years required.
  • Certification in healthcare research compliance and privacy compliance required within 18 months of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 6-10 years preferred.
  • Clinical licensure preferred.
