DIRECTOR OF RACQUETS - SEASONAL The Seasonal Director of Racquets oversees the club’s racquet sports program, including tennis, pickleball, and other racquet related activities. This role is focused on enhancing member engagement, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the meticulous upkeep of facilities. The position also involves program development, staff management, financial oversight, and active member relations to foster a top-tier racquet sports experience. Seasonal Salaried plus commissions.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should be a high-level tennis & pickleball player (4.5+) and ideally holds certifications for tennis and pickleball
  • A bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive racquet sports management experience in a high-caliber club environment preferred.
  • US Safe Sport Trained or completed within first 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Taking full leadership and management of all aspects of the Clear Creek Tahoe tennis/racquets experience
  • Availability and visibility to the general membership.
  • Ability to find, hire and retain outstanding seasonal staff in a competitive market
  • Create a comprehensive tennis/racquets program for all demographic groups of membership that includes clinics & social events, and lessons.
  • Organize, officiate, and oversee tournaments, exhibitions, and social events.
  • Deliver stroke instruction tailored to various skill levels, ensuring members receive high-quality coaching that emphasizes proper techniques, form and personal improvement.
  • Plan and lead instructional programs, ensuring teaching methods align with current trends and best practices.
  • Responsible for routine court maintenance daily during the season and alerting Facilities Manager and/or Grounds Superintendent of any safety issues, equipment repairs or upgrades required.
  • Oversees and directs the racquet assistant staff (hiring, scheduling, training, etc.).
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of courts and related facilities, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard, collaborating with the Facilities and Golf Maintenance teams.
  • Actively engage with members, providing high-quality service and handling inquiries related to racquet sports.
  • Work with Director of Communications/Marketing to develop and manage communications for racquet sports (newsletters, social media, email blasts, etc.).
  • Maintain regular attendance on Club property.
  • Stay visible on courts during peak times.
