About The Position

The Quality and Analytics Section of DMHDDSUS is intended to provide internal and external stakeholders with timely, reliable, and actionable data and data dashboards to describe demographic information, identify system gaps, and to inform the agency's strategic vision. Position Description: The Director, Quality and Analytics is responsible for directing and coordinating day-to-day statewide quality and analytic efforts within DMHDDSUS. This position serves as a member of the Division Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and directs the work of the Quality Management and Information Systems sections. The Director, Quality and Analytics directs professional and support staff in completing assigned tasks and responding to Division and Department priorities. This position acts with full delegated authority. Work involves developing, implementing, analyzing, and evaluating programs and/or services; providing leadership in setting agency goals and objectives for the programs assigned; working with other agency executives in resolving internal resource allocation and program integration issues including human resources an budgeting; and oversight for rule making, commission support, legislative changes and enforcement of applicable federal and state regulations as well as agency policies, rules and regulations that affect program structures and operations. This position uses analysis and operational data to establish organizational priorities with the Division Director and Deputy Director. Work involves providing a leadership role in developing and maintaining involvement and cooperation with both the public and private sector components of the service delivery system. Position serves in lieu of the Division Director or Deputy Director when assigned to do so. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Director and Deputy Director and is evaluated on the basis of program success. The Director, Quality and Analytics leads the Quality Management and Information Systems Sections of DMHDDSUS. The Quality Management team is responsible for collecting and using data to create dashboards, identify risks and issues, determine gaps in the service system, support programmatic decision making and communicate with stakeholders. The Information Systems team is responsible for collecting, extracting, and evaluating data for use by the Division. The person in this position will supervise the leaders of each team, direct work based on Division and Department priorities, ensure that internal and external reports are accurate and provide interpretive analysis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or other discipline related to the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of progressive experience, of which at least one (1) year is supervisory; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
