About The Position

Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is one of the largest providers of document services in the United States. We are currently looking for a Director of Operations to oversee our production teams in Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for providing leadership and inspiration to production departments tasked with producing and delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate physical documents for our clients. This includes both direct and indirect support activities necessary to efficiently and cost-effectively achieve the organization’s objective of surpassing client expectations. We are looking for someone with hands-on leadership experience in a production or manufacturing setting, skilled in managing workflows, coaching teams, optimizing processes, and driving performance in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing multiple production/manufacturing related departments.
  • Excellent understanding of workflow automation and Quality control.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, organizational acumen, keen attention to detail, and proven effectiveness in executing projects.
  • Demonstrates advanced technical expertise in production operations and workflow management with the ability to convert raw production data into meaningful KPIs.
  • Embodies a strong customer service philosophy, works both independently and collaboratively, adapts well to change, and consistently upholds a high level of confidentiality when working with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Orlando Production and Production Support teams to ensure we produce and deliver accurate, high-quality work on time.
  • Focus on running a safe, efficient, and well-trained production environment by guiding department leaders, setting clear expectations, and making sure employees understand their jobs, standards, and company policies.
  • Review performance using key metrics, support continuous improvement efforts, and help solve operational challenges.
  • Work closely with Senior Management to evaluate new business opportunities, update operational policies, and represent the company during client visits.
  • Assist in managing budgets, oversee major purchases, and ensure we consistently meet our on-time SLA and quality goals.
