About The Position

Mountain Youth Academy, nestled in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are searching for a Director of Plant Operations for our 120-bed residential treatment facility. The position is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant, ensuring that maintenance, quality, safety, and workforce development goals are consistently met. This role provides strategic leadership and direction to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all plant functions. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) years related experience with at least two years of management experience, prefer healthcare. Must have experience with reading blueprints and understanding Life Safety Codes, accreditation and other regulatory Standards and OSHA Regulations.
  • Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Additional Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, Excellent time management and organization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a behavioral health facility highly preferred.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain a robust safety program to minimize incidents and create a culture of safety.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Oversee the implementation of quality systems to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
