About The Position

Reporting directly to the SVP, People & Culture, the Director, People Operations will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, and execution of the organization's HR operational functions. This includes overseeing all HR information systems (including Dayforce, Navex, etc.), payroll, and employee data management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role will leverage technology and data to streamline processes, enhance the employee experience, and support the organization's mission and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role focused on HR operations.
  • Proven experience creating a vision for people operations and managing and optimizing HRIS platforms, though Dayforce specific experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and development of a high functioning team who collaborates across the organization to drive results.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll administration and compliance.
  • Expertise in federal, Washington state, and local employment laws and regulations related to HR data and compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communications skills - written, verbal and interpersonal - and a strong ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit, high-growth, or mission-driven organization.
  • Payroll Certification (Certified Payroll Professional-CPP, or other recognized certification)
  • HR Certification (SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other recognized certification)
