About The Position

The Director of Outpatient Services provides strategic, clinical, and administrative leadership for all outpatient behavioral health programs. This position ensures that high-quality, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services are delivered in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards. The Director oversees clinical staff and operations, drives program development, and promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, and client-centered care. In addition to the duties and requirements listed below, YFA expects employees to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Requirements

Must hold a master's degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university and has at least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, and mental health.
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW, Qualified Supervisor

Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership:
Provide clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed clinicians in accordance with supervisory requirements.
Ensure use of evidence-based and best-practice clinical models across outpatient programs.
Oversee development and implementation of treatment protocols, documentation standards, and outcome measures.
Review and approve clinical documentation to ensure compliance with licensing, funding, and payer requirements.
Serve as a resource for complex case consultation and crisis response.
Program Administration & Oversight:
Oversee daily operations of outpatient behavioral health services, including therapy, psychiatry, and case management.
Manage departmental budgets, productivity standards, and service delivery outcomes.
Collaborate with the Executive Team to identify new programs, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
Lead program evaluation, quality improvement, and data reporting efforts.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and oversight agencies (e.g., AHCA, DCF, Medicaid).
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, best practices, and contract deliverables.
Promote trauma-informed care by supporting staff well-being, self-care, and use of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Monitor effectiveness and fidelity of trauma-informed practices.
Serve as a liaison to referral sources, community partners, and funding agencies.
Represent the organization at community meetings and professional events.
Build collaborative relationships with schools, hospitals, courts, and social service systems.
