About The Position

The Director of Outpatient Services provides strategic, clinical, and administrative leadership for all outpatient behavioral health programs. This position ensures that high-quality, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services are delivered in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards. The Director oversees clinical staff and operations, drives program development, and promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, and client-centered care. In addition to the duties and requirements listed below, YFA expects employees to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Requirements

  • Must hold a master's degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university and has at least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, and mental health.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW, Qualified Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership:
  • Provide clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed clinicians in accordance with supervisory requirements.
  • Ensure use of evidence-based and best-practice clinical models across outpatient programs.
  • Oversee development and implementation of treatment protocols, documentation standards, and outcome measures.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation to ensure compliance with licensing, funding, and payer requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for complex case consultation and crisis response.
  • Program Administration & Oversight:
  • Oversee daily operations of outpatient behavioral health services, including therapy, psychiatry, and case management.
  • Manage departmental budgets, productivity standards, and service delivery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to identify new programs, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
  • Lead program evaluation, quality improvement, and data reporting efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and oversight agencies (e.g., AHCA, DCF, Medicaid).
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, best practices, and contract deliverables.
  • Promote trauma-informed care by supporting staff well-being, self-care, and use of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Monitor effectiveness and fidelity of trauma-informed practices.
  • Serve as a liaison to referral sources, community partners, and funding agencies.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and professional events.
  • Build collaborative relationships with schools, hospitals, courts, and social service systems.
