About The Position

The Director of Organizational Impact is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining performance and quality management systems to support the evaluation of the organization’s effectiveness and impact of programs and limited administrative functions. The Director evaluates and supports alignment with best practice established by the Council on Accreditation (COA), manages quality improvement and compliance activities, and reports on performance metrics to leadership, the governing body, and external stakeholders. The position is supported by a quality improvement coordinator, and works collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders, to foster a culture of performance excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory oversight experience in a nonprofit or human services setting
  • Prior supervisory experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with COA or similar accreditation process is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of annual program and department work plans and goal setting, incorporating agency strategic priorities, contractual or regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks
  • Serve as a resource for senior leadership, to provide guidance on designing, implementing, analyzing and reporting on data and outcomes that demonstrate meaningful impact
  • Design and implement systems to track, measure, and analyze program outcomes and effectiveness
  • Provide leadership to and monitor the effectiveness of cross-organizational PQI efforts, including committees focused on data excellence, service ethics, and health, safety and wellbeing
  • Lead COA re-accreditation activities (4-year cycle) and annual maintenance of accreditation
  • Serve as subject matter expert on COA accreditation through a working knowledge of all standards
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of best practice implementation related to COA standards in each program or core service area
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation, licensure, and certification requirements
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise department staff partner; including performance management, and professional development
