Position Summary The Director of Operations is responsible for the function and performance of operations and support staff. Position will typically supervise staff in the performance of their duties and may be responsible for establishing or contributing ideas for department processes, procedures, and protocols. In addition, this individual would manage HR best practices, payroll systems, and work directly with Thrivent corporate on marketing/community engagement. This position will track production metrics of the team and individual advisors, reporting back to PWA owners on a regular basis. From this tracking, they will produce custom reports for review and presentations to the team. The Director of Operations reports to and is employed by Pathway Wealth Advisors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial industry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience overseeing others
  • Securities license (6/63, 7/66 or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health and Annuity license may be required with 180 days of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Complete knowledge of financial products used by the firm
  • Thorough understanding of the technology used by the firm and how it applies to clients
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial advisors
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedback
  • Ensure team members adhere to compliance and ethical standards
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the client base and increase assets under management
  • Accountable for hitting personal and team sales targets
  • Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on investment performance and financial plans
  • Identify opportunities for new services and product offerings
  • Provide one-on-one financial guidance and connect clients to products, services and unique membership benefits
  • Run client meetings and compose meeting notes
  • Preparation for and follow up from client meetings including, but not limited to, obtaining client documents and statements
  • Counsel and advise prospective and current clients on suitable financial products and investment advisory services
  • Explain, discuss or interpret insurance coverage; analyze exposures or policies; provide recommendations
  • Precisely and promptly open and complete product applications
  • Accept and/or enter securities trade orders from customers, including unsolicited trade orders precisely and promptly
  • Assist client with product changes
  • Obtain client financial and/or suitability information
  • Manage sensitive client communications, including confidential information, and respond promptly through verbal and written channels to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance standards and education requirement for all licenses and certifications necessary for the work within Emerald Financial Group
  • Facilitate and/or co-present product specific seminars and/or workshops as necessary
  • Attend and participate in client events, workshops, business events, and fraternal events and meetings
  • Participate in business planning for the practice as needed
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
