About The Position

Director of Operations Non-Electronics – West Region, LGUS Are you an experienced leader passionate about operational excellence, strategic planning, and delivering results? Join Linde as the Regional ASU Operations Director for the West Region of LGUS, where you’ll oversee production, distribution, and maintenance across multiple ASU plants. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to take ownership of regional operations, optimize processes, and lead teams toward achieving ambitious business objectives in a safe and compliant environment. Position Overview: As the Director of operations non-electronics, you will define priorities, plans, and objectives for manufacturing and distribution across multiple plants and West geographies. You’ll leverage your expert knowledge of operations and deep understanding of Linde’s business strategy to ensure flawless execution and drive performance at both regional and national levels. Collaboration, strategic foresight, and operational discipline will be key as you work within a dynamic environment to meet safety, environmental, and financial goals. This position is responsible for all non-electronics air separation facilities, distribution activities, liquid hydrogen generation, and 3 steam methane absorbers within the West Region of the United States. The Operations Director in the West Region of Linde leads a team of operations personnel across a wide spread of technical and leadership skills. This person must be agile and able to work with ambiguity, the nature of operations means priorities shift quickly so you must be able to quickly move between tasks without losing momentum. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of operational experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar functions.
  • 5+ years in plant management, with demonstrated success leading complex operations.
  • Demonstrated technical abilities in plant operations.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills paired with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management and the ability to influence financial results within budgetary constraints.
  • Focus on operational reliability and efficiency, paired with exceptional planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to act as a trusted leader across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Setting the standard and directing your team to be in compliance with all Safety and environmental rules and regulations, both corporate and governmental.
  • Ensuring all plants are in compliance are in compliance with the Linde quality system at all times.
  • Directing teams to flawlessly execute operational requirements and implement process improvements.
  • Developing and managing operational plans that align with complex business objectives.
  • Acting as the primary interface to coordinate cross-departmental activities and commitments.
  • Managing response strategies and ensuring effective communication plans are implemented.
  • Establishing goals, promoting decision-making, delegating responsibilities, and overcoming challenges.
  • Working with the region productivity team to identify and complete productivity projects (six sigma, lean, cost reduction, and soft savings) to meet your assigned goal.
  • Achieving plant and product supply reliability goals while developing action plans to address performance deficiencies.
  • Recruiting, training, coaching, and conducting performance reviews for team members to build a cohesive, high-performing management team.
  • Managing budgets, monitoring P&L performance, and influencing financial outcomes through strategic planning and execution.
  • Collaborating across levels of the organization to build alignment and ensure the achievement of shared goals.
