About The Position

The Director of Nonprofit Banking is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, and performance of the bank’s nonprofit banking practice. The role oversees relationship management, business development, and credit for nonprofit organizations, including foundations, associations, educational institutions, and charitable entities. The Director serves as a subject-matter expert on nonprofit financial needs, and delivers customized financial and treasury solutions, through close collaboration with teammates and product specialists. The position combines leadership, deposit growth, risk management, and community impact while ensuring the bank is positioned as a trusted financial partner to the nonprofit sector.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in banking production and operations experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business banking products and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Deposit Strategy to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for nonprofit banking services aligned with organizational goals.
  • Acquire, manage, and retain clients by providing deposit and treasury solutions, and referring credit opportunities to the credit administration team plus the Director of CRA Strategy for review.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of RFP responses, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality proposals.
  • Cultivate and sustain deep, long-term relationships with nonprofit clients by proactively understanding their unique missions, financial priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Understand the banks products to deliver comprehensive solutions including deposit structures, treasury management, lending, and wealth management investment strategies, tailored to the unique needs of nonprofit clients.
  • Conduct regular relationship reviews to identify opportunities for enhancement, deepen relationship engagement, and cross-sell additional products and services.
  • Regularly report on business performance through CRM tracking of opportunities and client engagement.
  • Represent the bank at community events, industry conferences and marketing events.
  • Maintain comprehensive risk management practices to ensure regulatory compliance
