About The Position

Ensuring Chart’s Success… Chart Industries is seeking a Director of Proposal Management Engineered Systems to lead strategic proposal development and execution that aligns with business objectives and fosters long-term partnerships. This role acts as the single point of contact bridging Commercial and business units for proposal management, cost estimation, and early risk identification. You will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Legal/Contracting, while overseeing initiatives in our custom systems portfolio. This position may be located in The Woodland, TX, Tulsa, OK Canton, GA or New Prague, MN. What Will You Do? Lead the proposal management team to deliver high-quality, timely submissions for large-scale projects in hydrogen, CCUS, water, space exploration, and biogas. Develop and execute strategic plans for scaling and commercializing new technologies in collaboration with senior leadership. Improve contract development processes, templates, and procedures to streamline operations. Manage proposal managers and cost estimators, ensuring competitive bidding, risk management, and accurate budgeting. Integrate existing and new product and technology portfolios to enhance market penetration and identify new opportunities. Drive the Bid Approval and Risk Mitigation Framework : conduct SWOT analysis, evaluate technical challenges, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables. Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors for alignment early in the project lifecycle. Oversee project budgeting and resource allocation to meet financial targets. Stay current on industry trends and incorporate best practices into organizational processes. Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 15 years in engineering and project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects within budget and timeline.
  • Project management experience in LNG, Cryo, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Water Technology or similar which includes management experience. with process technology development or in a manufacturing environment
  • Skills typically required through the completion of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP)® or Prince2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) are highly desirable.
  • Experience in cryogenic gas processing including natural gas and hydrogen liquefaction, and separation and rejection facilities is a plus.
