About The Position

What is the opportunity? The Director of Data Engineering and Integration is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise data solutions and capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams that build and maintain scalable data models, high-performance data pipelines, APIs and integration capabilities that support analytics and data-driven decisions across the organization. The Director will partner closely with business and technology leaders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and governed across the enterprise while driving innovation in automation and integration technologies. What will you do? Leadership and Strategy Define and execute the enterprise data engineering and integration roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, integration developers and analysts. Establish best practices for data architecture, modeling and integration standards. Data Engineering, Integration & Platform Development Oversee the design and development of scalable pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and APIs supporting analytics, reporting and operational systems. Develop and implement data integration strategies to connect disparate data sources and targets. Ensure seamless integration with various data sources and enable efficient data processing across systems. Data Analytics Develop and implement data analytics capabilities to support business decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements. Design and implement data visualization and reporting tools to provide actionable insights. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product management, and IT to identify and prioritize requirements. Communicate delivery progress and complex data concepts in business terms to senior leadership. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field. Proven success in designing and managing enterprise-scale data and integration platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Kafka, etc). Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles. Experience with data analytics, data visualization, and reporting tools. Strong experience with SQL, Python, and modern data frameworks. Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. What’s in it for you? The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000-$260,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven success in designing and managing enterprise-scale data and integration platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Kafka, etc).
