The primary responsibility of the Business Development Director is to lead the business development efforts for new customers This role emphasizes aggressively establishing new relationships generating revenue growth and maximizing enterprise profitability The Business Development Director is responsible for developing and executing action plans that will lead to successfully closing new deals The Business Development Director is responsible for self identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as progressing new business leads that are generated by centralized lead generation efforts They are responsible for coordinating all information activities & internal resources to support moving an opportunity through the sales process They establish credibility with their customers by developing a deep understanding of their business issues and subsequently presenting solutions that meet or exceed their customers expectation while delivering business value to Cowan The Business Development Director guides cross functional and multi level teams to develop solutions to potential prospects including collaborating and introducing the prospects to other Cowan service offerings The Business Development Director will know the mission policies & structure of the organization to bring resources and efficacy to the sales cycle
