As part of our strategic plan to expand services and reach more individuals experiencing vision loss, we are seeking an experienced marketing consultant to serve in an interim capacity as Director of Marketing. This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role during an extended leave period and ensure continuity across all marketing and communication efforts. The ideal consultant and interim leader will be adept at entering organizations midstream, quickly learning internal systems, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and maintaining campaign momentum without disruption. We view this as a stewardship role, one that protects and sustains the strong marketing foundation already in place, while maintaining strong thought leadership, guiding the team, and setting the stage for a smooth transition when the permanent Director returns. This 6–8 month, full-time contract role (3-4 days onsite in Los Angeles and 1-2 days remote) offers the chance to lead a mission-driven team, contribute to high-impact marketing initiatives, and help advance Braille Institute’s vision of expanding reach tenfold over the next five years.
