About The Position

The Director of IT - GTM and Marketing Applications is a strategic leadership role responsible for owning and driving the vision, delivery, and ongoing management of the enterprise application suite that supports the company’s Go-To-Market (GTM) and Operational functions. This role leads IT efforts across the Marketing, Sales, Channel Operations, Quoting, and Product Operations domains, focusing on seamless, scalable, and data-driven solutions that align closely with commercial objectives. You will serve as the primary IT partner to Marketing, Sales, and Product Operations leadership, shaping the “Lead-to-Cash” and “Product Lifecycle” ecosystems. A strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and transformational leadership is required to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT applications management.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise applications used by Marketing, Sales, Channel Operations, CPQ, and Product Operations teams.
  • Deep knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, sales enablement, quoting/configuration tools, and product operations systems.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Expertise in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, CPQ tools, channel management software, and product lifecycle management applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern integration technologies (APIs, middleware).
  • Understanding of SOX compliance, data privacy laws and governance impacting marketing and sales data.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Roadmapping
  • Define, develop, and execute a long-term IT application strategy for Marketing, Sales, Channel Operations, Quoting, and Product Operations aligned with corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders (CMO, CRO, COO) to ensure IT initiatives support business growth targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage total cost of ownership (TCO) for the application portfolio including budgeting, licensing, and vendor negotiations.
  • Domain Ownership
  • Marketing & Sales: Lead management of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Marketing Automation (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), and Sales Engagement tools.
  • Channel Operations: Oversee partner portals, deal registration systems, and channel incentive programs.
  • Quoting & Pricing (CPQ): Develop and implement Configure Price Quote (CPQ) strategies to maintain pricing accuracy and enforce global contract management standards.
  • Product Operations (ProdOps): Support product launch readiness, entitlement management, and facilitate feedback loops between engineering and field teams.
  • Delivery & Governance
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT Application Product Managers/Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Program Managers.
  • Operate within an Agile delivery framework, ensuring timely and quality application development and enhancements.
  • Ensure data integrity and seamless integration across the GTM technology stack.
  • Establish governance processes to prioritize system enhancements based on business value, risk, and ROI.
  • Vendor and Partner Management
  • Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors and service providers to drive cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Process Optimization
  • Champion digitization and automation initiatives spanning quoting, sales workflows, channel operations, and product lifecycle management to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Risk, Compliance & Performance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant SOX controls, security policies, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and other regulatory standards while maintaining system availability and performance.
  • Define KPIs and regularly report application performance, project status, and business impact to senior leadership.
  • Budget & Resource Planning
  • Own budgeting, resource forecasting, and allocation for IT applications supporting the assigned domains.
