About The Position

Director of IS Infrastructure will orchestrate, implement and monitor all phases of information technology administration, networking, desktops and support systems. The position will work closely with IS/IT leaders on IT infrastructures, disaster recovery readiness, and will collaborate with technical staff in developing long term IT strategies to meet the needs of an innovative environment. Position will participate in assessment of current# # and emerging technologies to lead the organization in the use of best practices, and providing guidance, options and recommendations to the Health System. Position will evaluate, assess, strategize, plan, and implement and monitor large comprehensive IT projects and allocate resources across multiple units in collaboration with the project management office. This Position is responsible for recruiting, mentoring and growing staff, overall management of staff and their assignments, expense, capital and project budgets, departmental operations and investigation and resolution of problems. This position is responsible for ongoing development and the enhancement of the Customer Service Desk, ensuring customers receive the best possible operational and technical assistance. Additionally, this position has regular contact with most levels of staff and management across the organization through one-on-one interaction as well as leadership and participation in departmental and organization-wide committees.# This position is responsible for maintaining communications with customers throughout Archbold. The incumbent will maintain the Service Desk as the first line of customer support communications. All work activities including projects, trouble calls, customer requests and customer change requests regarding computer hardware, computer software, application software, networking and telecommunication must be handled and dispatched to the appropriate support staff promptly. The incumbent will manage team workload and priorities using the SDPlus system including adherence to strict change control standards as well as ensuring adherence of direct reports to IS and organization of SLAs. Customer service initiatives and programs established are used to set an example for the entire Information Services organization in the areas of service, quality, and customer relations. The incumbent is responsible for championing these customer service initiatives and programs.# This position reports to the Chief Information Officer The position is accountable for IT infrastructure, end user devices, networking, Intranet, security and is responsible for providing overall direction and supervision to all assigned Information Services personnel. Other responsibilities include strategic planning, process improvement, project planning, analysis of software and hardware, systems design, implementation, testing, and support. Work often requires coordination of multiple departments and vendors to reach workable solutions.# This position is responsible for handling budgeting and finance for responsible areas.# Archbold reserves the right to revise and/or change job duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • A minimum of 15 years' of experience in Information Technology or equivalent experience in job related field

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced education, including a bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience in Healthcare IT preferred.
