About The Position

IT Director · Lead, manage, and mentor the internal IT team, ensuring effective support coverage and professional development · Oversee in-person and remote IT support operations for all employee devices, including laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, POS systems, and related equipment · Define, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization · Own the administration, security, and optimization of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD) · Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Dynamics and related business systems · Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution · Develop and manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including device provisioning, access management, and security controls · Oversee network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, wireless networks, servers, and cloud services · Manage relationships with external vendors, MSPs, and software providers, including licensing, warranties, and renewals · Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and internal governance standards · Plan and execute routine system maintenance, updates, patches, and monitoring to ensure performance, reliability, and security · Maintain and review technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and service catalogs · Track IT incidents, root causes, and resolutions; analyze trends and recommend continuous process improvements · Develop and deliver training, standards, and technical guidance for both IT staff and end users · Support IT infrastructure needs for multiple locations, including Laredo and Rio Grande Valley, and coordinate equipment relocations when required · Assist leadership with IT strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and technology roadmap planning · Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment while aligning IT operations with business goals · Act as the final escalation point for unresolved technical issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing IT staff or vendors
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring IT teams in a multi-location or growing organization
  • Strong hands-on and administrative experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory)
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or administering Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central, CRM, or related modules preferred)
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, LANs, WANs, wireless networks, cloud services, and security best practices
  • Experience with IT onboarding/offboarding processes, device provisioning, access control, and identity management
  • Ability to act as an escalation point for complex hardware, software, and network issues
  • Experience working with external vendors, MSPs, and software licensing agreements
  • Strong knowledge of data security, compliance, and privacy standards
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong documentation, process improvement, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting both Windows and Apple environments
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Willingness to travel between Laredo and Rio Grande Valley locations as needed
