About The Position

The Director of Information Technology (IT) will oversee and cultivate a proactive and supportive IT environment that enables efficient and secure work. Leads the IT Team consisting of the Web Project Manager, Systems Application Manager and IT Technician Help Desk positions. Responsible for implementing Grandstand’s IT vision and translating it into actionable goals. Develops and delivers information technology strategic plans by researching industry trends and evaluating emerging technology solutions, hardware and software in accordance with business current and future needs. Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business requirements, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and solutions. Drive implementation efforts while meeting timelines and staying within budgets. Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including website, various operating systems, customized eCommerce customer portals, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software and hardware. Manage, coach, and prioritize the work of the IT Team ensuring high-quality service and professional growth. Own all end-user and shared hardware (telephony, conferencing, 1:1 devices, servers). Own procurement, vendor relations, licensing, and the technology budget. Direct the sourcing and implementation of new software and hardware. Define and enforce security, compliance, and data-protection policies. Develop documentation, training, and ongoing infrastructure audits. Diagnose and resolve complex problems in response to reported incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience (5 years hands-on enterprise Mac, networking, Microsoft 365, and helpdesk management experience).
  • Extensive Mac support experience, including general operations and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in the management and administration of MDM technologies (Familiarity with Mosyle MDM a plus).
  • Solid understanding of Internet and Web technologies including fundamental Internet concepts such as DNS, web hosting services, e-mail hosting and file share protocols.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, Entra, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Experience managing IdP services (LDAP, SAML, SSO).
  • Experience securing corporate devices and services.
  • Strong understanding of network switching and routing concepts including proficiency with TCP/IP network services, including DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Proficiency with email security and deliverability – SPF, DKIM, DMARC
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and an ability to troubleshoot in an embedded environment.
  • Proficient in the use of command line tools for troubleshooting and knowledge of scripting technologies (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data structure, API integrations, cloud-based applications, Claris FileMaker Pro, HubSpot CRM, Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, CSS, CMS platforms, JavaScript and other web development tools and frameworks.
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage and mentor IT teams
  • Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple IT projects simultaneiously.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver training and instruction to individuals and small groups in a classroom setting.
  • Ability to work independently and be highly motivated.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities appropriately in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of Grandstand.
