About The Position
We’re seeking a Director of Industrial Design to lead Brio’s product design vision and innovation pipeline. This individual will guide creative direction, aesthetic standards, and user experience integration across all product categories, ensuring our designs embody Brio’s values of performance, elegance, and accessibility.
Requirements
- Experience in the home appliance industry or similar consumer product categories preferred
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, Product Design, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in industrial design for consumer products; 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success leading design initiatives for appliances, consumer electronics, or home products.
- Deep understanding of ergonomics, materials, manufacturing, and user experience integration.
- Skilled in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, and design visualization tools.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking and execution excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Industrial Design team in concept generation, visual design strategy, and product form development.
- Establish and maintain Brio’s design language system across all physical and digital touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to align design execution with performance and brand objectives.
- Oversee design from ideation through production—balancing innovation, usability, and manufacturability.
- Review product concepts, mockups, and 3D CAD to ensure visual and functional alignment.
- Direct CMF (Color, Material, Finish) strategy and execution for Brio’s hydration appliances and filtration products.
- Drive user-centered design practices through research, prototyping, and consumer feedback integration.
- Develop tools, processes, and frameworks to scale Brio’s design capabilities globally.
- Partner with leadership to evolve the brand’s design identity in response to market trends and technological advancements.
