About The Position

We are looking for a Director of Human Resources who brings agility in thinking, unity in action, humility in leadership, a strong drive for excellence, and true ownership of results. This position will support our Engineered Controls Systems division and work from our Hoover, AL location. As our Director of Human Resources, you will serve as a strategic business partner to the Division President and the Directors of Operations, supporting our 11+ U.S. facilities and 500 employees. You will lead the HR strategy and operations for the division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and full compliance with employment laws and internal policies across multiple states. This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to shape our culture, drive talent initiatives, and enhance operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High level of HR expertise, strategic thinking, and operational execution.
  • Experience leading HR functions in a dynamic, multi-site manufacturing environment, along with a deep knowledge of employment law and best practices across multiple states.
  • Proven track record in recruitment strategy, employee relations, organizational development, and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • 7+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and collaborate with site leaders across our manufacturing and engineering locations to develop and execute HR strategies in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, onboarding, training and development, and total rewards.
  • Ensure our HR policies are effective and compliant with evolving state and federal regulations, champion change management, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead efforts around leadership development, supervisor training, and employee engagement.
