About The Position

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the Human Resource Department for Horseshoe Baltimore. The position reports to the General Manager the property. The Director of HR will work with property leaders to recruit and hire a world-class organization for Horseshoe Baltimore. The Director of HR will ensure the property’s employees are properly trained and operationally ready for a successful and on time opening.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years in Human Resources with a concentration in at least two of the following: Employment, Training, Compensation and/or Benefits Administration
  • Experience with large scale hiring a plus
  • Minimum of three years supervisory/managerial experience
  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to handle complex and emotional issues
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Property Leadership team to lead and engage the community with a robust and comprehensive engagement plan
  • Responsible for playing a key property leadership role in driving a dynamic and ‘best-in-class” service and employee engagement culture
  • Responsible for researching, establishing, recommending changes and administering personnel policies relating to: recruitment of employees, training and development of personnel, compensation and other employee services
  • Responsible for ensuring property is well staffed and employees are well trained in preparation for the opening of the new property
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent communication skills, establishes and maintains relationships with team members at all levels of the organization to provide both team members and managers accurate feedback
  • Responsible for communicating new policies and procedures relating to the personnel areas to all department heads affected
  • Monitors Human Resource measurements, such as turnover, retention, supervisory feedback scores and employee engagement surveys
  • Coaches and develops supervisor/manager skills in performance management, fair treatment, assists in diagnosing and designing solutions to improve service quality
  • Responsible for development of staff to ensure company's continued leadership through their efforts
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and record keeping rules
  • Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness/value
