About The Position

Bluegrass Supply Chain Services (BSC) is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) company with warehouse and distribution operations across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. We provide customized warehousing, fulfillment, and value-added services to clients across multiple industries. People are our competitive advantage. We’re looking for an HR leader who takes that seriously. We are hiring a Director of Human Resources to lead our HR team and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll set HR strategy and stay close enough to the work to make sure it gets done. You will lead the HR Team, own the full HR function, and serve as the steward of BSC’s commitment to team member experience. This is an opportunity to build, not just maintain.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
  • Experience in logistics, 3PL, distribution, manufacturing, or a comparable multi-site operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an HR team.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law: FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, OSHA.
  • Experience managing team member relations, investigations, and employment matters.
  • Benefits administration and compensation analysis experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Paylocity HRIS experience.
  • Experience with Gallup Q12 or employee engagement frameworks.
  • Multi-state HR experience, particularly Kentucky and Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR team including Talent Acquisition, HR Generalists, Benefits, and HR Administration.
  • Partner with the CEO and operations leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and people strategy.
  • Champion BSC’s team member engagement program, including Gallup Q12 practices and the seven primary drivers of team member experience.
  • Direct full-cycle talent acquisition strategy for both hourly and salaried roles across multiple warehouse sites.
  • Manage complex team member relations matters — investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Oversee total rewards including health benefits, 401(k) safe harbor plan, leave administration, and compensation benchmarking.
  • Build BSC’s learning and development infrastructure — manager orientation, frontline supervisor development, and compliance training.
  • Ensure HR compliance across Kentucky and Ohio, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and OSHA.
  • Own Paylocity HRIS administration and HR metrics reporting to leadership.
  • Partner with EHS and Operations on safety culture and Work to Zero commitments.
