Responsibilities: This is a hands-on role with supervision of one employee and includes all supervisory responsibilities for that employee, including but not limited to mentoring, performance management, and other such typical supervisory tasks. Serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the C-suite and senior leadership team and collaborates with leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention; strategically develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, initiatives, organizational changes, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs. Works closely with the training team for successful employee onboarding, annual and ad hoc training, and change management, and effectively utilizing the HRIS and payroll technology Uses data analytics and HR metrics to inform decision-making. Monitors engagement, implements retention strategies, fosters a positive employee experience, and proactively pursues successful employee relation strategies. Manages comprehensive compliance across 25+ states, including tax account setup/closure, rate changes, unemployment claims, and regulatory adherence. Administers all HR programs encompassing compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, and occupational health and safety while hosting monthly company-wide meetings. Monitors and ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all jurisdictions, reviewing and modifying policies as needed. Maintains current knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to advise upper management and drive continuous improvement in talent management practices. Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing; manage annual bonus program, merit process, compensation reviews, market adjustments, internal and external equity, and other such pay-related activities. Develops and implements departmental budget. Performs other duties as required.
