The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, staffing, employee relations, training and development, performance management, progressive discipline, and compensation and benefits. This position will report directly to the CFO and will have the ability to identify potential challenges, devise creative solutions, and proactively address issues through collaboration with leadership and indirect reports. Responsibilities: Responsible for organizational development, fostering a high-performance workforce/culture ready to meet the needs of the business. Must be a business partner to the senior management team, quickly understanding the operations and challenges of the organization. Responsible for developing and recommending and implementing human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the company while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Responsible for developing and administering business objectives in safety, recruitment, employee relations, talent and performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, change management, employee engagement, retention, professional development, and affirmative action. Maintain solid communication and working rapport with all business units throughout the organization. Work closely with business leaders to provide strategic HR support in order to address core business needs and provide HR expertise and counsel on staffing strategies and acquisition of key talent. Drive change initiatives and develop/implement communication strategies for the organization. Will provide ongoing support to executive staff by serving as a sounding board in both a business and people-related capacity. Should be capable of utilizing high-level consulting skills to coach and provide feedback on leadership direction and style. Identify key engagement drivers and develop supporting strategies to align people, processes, and work-related systems in order to achieve meaningful levels of job satisfaction and retention for the employee base. Proactively identify and monitor top talent to ensure that the "right people" are in the "right positions" to support growth initiatives for the organization. Will work with line leaders to understand core capabilities needed to drive the business and translate into actionable developmental programs. Must drive consistency in administering human resources policies and procedures throughout the organization. Consult with legal counsel as appropriate and necessary. Create and maintain a positive employee relations environment. Work on a variety of special projects as requested and must utilize a “hands-on" approach in the work environment. Provide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees. The successful candidate will be a skilled business partner on the Company's administrative team while also handling front-line personnel issues on a daily basis.
