About The Position

As the Director of Business Development, you will provide leadership and strategic planning for our business development department. Your responsibilities will encompass: Direct the development and continuous refinement of the facility's comprehensive business development plan within the scope of the changing healthcare environment. Social media, online review, and website management. Consult with the CEO and senior management staff in overseeing, developing, and implementing facility business development strategies. Develop and implement monthly, seasonal, and annual strategies and evaluate results correspondingly. Maintain a schedule of primary accounts, including business, industry, EAPs, managed care clients, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals. Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the business development performance against market constraints and changes and revises the business development plan as appropriate. Coordinate all facility functional areas to develop a business development focus and strategic plans. Evaluate and prioritize referral sources. Coaches business development representatives on effective business development styles and techniques. Target and create new strategies for increasing business in a highly competitive market. Conduct ongoing in-service education in customer service, telephone techniques, account management, time management, and business development strategy development at the functional level.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or related field; Master's Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in a healthcare business development management position with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results and with direct experience developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas.) In addition, detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles.
  • Licensure: Must have a valid Georgia driver's license.
