About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Fund Development who will work to establish and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors and volunteers as they relate to fund development. The Director of Fund Development works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.

Responsibilities

Work with the CEO and the Board of Directors to implement all fund development activities of the organization, including current and planned giving programs.
Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.
Oversee grant seeking and other funding sources including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
Plan and attend all functions of the organization – including special events for fund raising purposes.
Oversee and maintain donor and fundraising databases as well as tracking and reporting.
Lead event committees.
Assist in the orientation of new Board members, volunteers, and committee members as necessary.
Oversee and coordinate with appropriate staff and consultants to create all collateral materials for organization including, but not limited to, brochures, newsletters, special projects, and annual reports.
Assure media coverage for the agency and events.
Actively seek new donors, volunteers, and opportunities to forge beneficial relationships on behalf of the organization.
