About The Position

The Director of Clinical Services performs at a senior level of leadership, involving delivery of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This leadership role requires expertise in behavioral health services, program management, and clinical oversight to support individuals with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Nursing degree or master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related clinical field is required.
  • Active and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist, or Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in behavioral health services, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or clinical management role. Experience working with DBHDD programs or state-funded services is strongly preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are required.
  • Strong knowledge of DBHDD policies, Medicaid waiver services, and state behavioral health programs.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and analyze program performance metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and data management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee clinical programs and services in alignment with DBHDD and Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities standards and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicaid guidelines and DBHDD policies.
  • Supervise and support clinical staff, including licensed therapists, nurses, and case managers, etc.
  • Provide clinical oversight for assessments, treatment planning, and service delivery.
  • Monitor program outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to meet service needs and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Complete monthly performance reports and periodic presentations for Fulton County Behavioral Health Network (FCBHN)
  • Collaborate with external agencies, families, advocates, and community partners to promote coordinated care.
  • Develop and manage the clinical services budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records.
  • Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and complex case management.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for clinical staff to ensure best practices in care delivery for optimal client satisfaction results.
  • Represent both River Edge Behavioral Health and Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health as needed
