We have core competencies in border control and force protection/counter-UAS systems and sell to the DoD and CBP within the US government and to allied countries, through the DOD managed FMS program. Our expert team collaborates seamlessly with customers, to provide systems and services in support of national security and tactical security requirements worldwide. We have an opportunity for a Director of Finance who will work with the CFO in support of corporate operations. You will bring experience supporting small and mid-size businesses in the government contracting arena along with demonstrated success supporting an aggressive growth strategy. This is a full-time role in McLean, Virginia at our HQ.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Current security clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA is highly desired.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Director of Finance, FP&A lead, Corporate Controller or similar responsibility.
  • Prior experience with a small or mid-sized government contracting firm required; large firm experience is a plus.
  • Expertise with DCAA (Defense Contract Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) regulations and compliance.
  • Expertise with rate management standards.
  • M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations and provide overall leadership for the Finance team.
  • Serve as senior finance representative on the Executive Team and collaborate with Senior Executive Team.
  • Establish key financial metrics for Executive Team and develop/maintain reporting.
  • Coordinate with Chief Finance Officer to establish budgets and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for performance vs. projections.
  • Manage invoicing and A/R for all contracts/projects.
  • Provide analysis of financial statements.
  • Ensure adequate financing for operations by minimizing outstanding accounts, negotiating favorable payment terms, and maintaining adequate lines of credit with most favorable interest expenses.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise for strategic bids and rate strategies.
  • Engage with counterparts for prime/subcontractor teaming partners.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR and Cas requirements.
  • Interface with DCAA and DCMA on audits reviews and fact findings.
  • Establish and maintain channels of communication with Government Contracting Officers.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to implement effective tax strategies.
  • Support company's growth strategy including identifying M&A opportunities and supporting due diligence.
  • Respond to RFIs from Senior Executive Team and Board of Directors, and support RFIs for external business and banking relationships.
