About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead critical domains across Supply Chain Planning, Fulfillment Optimization, and Transportation Technology. This role sits at the intersection of speed, intelligence, and customer experience—foundational to Nordstrom’s company-wide Winning with Speed strategy. Your teams build systems that directly influence hundreds of millions of dollars in annual spend, shape customer promise accuracy, and materially impact EBIT. Requirements

10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology roles
5+ years leading managers and senior technical leaders in large-scale, complex environments
5+ years of Retail, supply chain, logistics, or fulfillment domain experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Demonstrated success shaping and delivering multi-year technology strategies tied to business outcomes
Strong technical judgment with experience guiding architecture across distributed systems
Proven ability to influence across Product, Operations, and Executive stakeholders
A track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams and developing leaders
Experience working with third-party platforms, vendors, or large technology ecosystems

Nice To Haves

Experience operationalizing AI/ML or advanced analytics in production environments (preferred)
