About The Position

Ascensa Health is a private, non-profit substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment center in midtown Atlanta. The agency is currently seeking a Director of Development to lead the agency's fundraising strategy, manage donor relationships, write and track grant applications, and organize fundraising campaigns to secure financial sustainability. Key responsibilities include creating development plans, cultivating major gifts, and organizing events.

Requirements

• Experience: 3–5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, donor management, or direct marketing.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for creating proposals and securing donations.
• Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with donor management software and office software.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, non-profit management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive annual, major gift, and planned giving campaigns.
• Donor Relations: Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Operational Oversight: Manage donor base data systems, and gift tracking to ensure compliance and ethical standards.
• Leadership & Staff Management: Supervise development team members.
• Grant & Proposal Writing: Seek and write grant applications to secure institutional funding.
• Events Management: Plan and execute fundraising events.
