About The Position

This role is responsible for directly securing philanthropic revenue for the organization through active donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. This is a hands-on fundraising position with personal annual revenue goals, in addition to providing strategic leadership for the development program. This role drives efforts to secure financial resources critical to the organization's mission, working closely with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer (CDO) to ensure sustainable revenue growth, and assures excellence in all donor engagement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.
7-10 years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts, annual fund strategy, planned giving, and corporate partnerships.
Demonstrated success personally cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts and meeting revenue goals.
Proven experience supervising and developing staff, managing performance, and leading cross-departmental initiatives.
Strong understanding of donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising best practices.
Proficiency with fundraising CRMs (Salesforce, Virtuous, Raiser's Edge, etc.).
Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.
Experience with budgeting, goal-setting, and KPI management in a development context preferred.

Responsibilities

Personally solicit and close major gifts and annual fund contributions, representing a significant portion of the organization's annual fundraising revenue.
Oversee all aspects of gift processing, gift acknowledgement, donor appreciation, recording and reporting.
Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fund strategy to achieve annual revenue targets.
Lead the major gifts strategy including portfolio management, donor solicitation, coordination of resources and develop and Planned Giving.
Lead strategy, analytics, and solicitation for a limited campaign.
Work closely with Habitat for Humanity International on all aspects of our shared fundraising efforts and appeals.
Manage a portfolio of up to 50 identifed major gift prospects and donors.
In coordination with the Grants Manager, Corporate Relations, and Volunteer Services to identify and secure corporate sponsorships and foundation grants, with annual targets for each funding stream.
Oversee the planning and execution of donor stewardship and recognition events.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to align donor outreach and branding efforts.
Regularly report on development performance to the CDO and the executive leadership team.
