About The Position

SunStar Solutions is a fast-growing renewable energy and home improvement solutions company headquartered in Mesquite, Texas. We specialize in solar, battery storage, and energy efficiency upgrades that help homeowners reduce utility costs and increase energy independence. Our objective is clear: Build the strongest Home Improvement Dealer Network in Texas — and scale beyond. We are hiring the person who will help make that happen. We are seeking a Director of Dealer Network Development to lead the statewide recruitment, onboarding, activation, and performance growth of Home Improvement Dealers across Texas. This is not an HR role. This is a revenue-driving growth leadership position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience building or expanding dealer/channel networks
  • Experience recruiting and activating independent businesses
  • Strong background in commission-driven industries
  • Proven ability to increase production volume
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills
  • You understand how to turn signed dealers into producing dealers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in solar, roofing, HVAC, home services, or related industries preferred

Responsibilities

  • Dealer Recruitment (Statewide – Texas)
  • Prospect and recruit Home Improvement Dealers across Texas (solar, roofing, HVAC, remodeling, etc.)
  • Build a predictable and scalable dealer recruiting pipeline
  • Establish regional expansion targets
  • Develop relationships with dealer principals and sales managers
  • Represent SunStar at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Dealer Onboarding & Activation
  • Build structured onboarding processes
  • Implement 30-60-90 day production ramp plans
  • Coordinate dealer training sessions
  • Ensure operational readiness and documentation compliance
  • Move dealers from signed to producing as fast as possible
  • Training & Performance Development
  • Deliver product and sales training to dealer teams
  • Conduct recurring production calls and strategy sessions
  • Track dealer KPIs and production metrics
  • Identify underperforming dealers and implement improvement plans
  • Competitions & Volume Acceleration
  • Launch and manage statewide dealer competitions
  • Create short-term SPIF campaigns to boost volume
  • Develop recognition programs and performance leaderboards
  • Drive urgency and momentum within the network
  • Dealer Retention & Growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with active dealers
  • Improve engagement and long-term retention
  • Identify top performers and expand territory coverage
  • Help scale high-producing dealers into larger regional partners
