About The Position

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking an exempt Director of Curricular Coordination and Support for Audiology on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Director of Curricular Coordination and Support for the Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology Program coordinates the implementation of the program curriculum, manages student recruitment and retention, oversees operations, and support of the strategic initiatives of the Audiology Department. The position requires a dedicated and innovative individual to lead and manage all aspects of the academic unit, including management of faculty, students, program budget and daily operations. The Director of Curricular Coordination and Support works collaboratively with the Department Chair, other directors and administrative staff to develop and implement strategic plans and efficient operations for the program, to represent the department in the community, and to engage in school and university wide leadership activities. This is a full-time position with salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in teaching/education, or audiology or other related field.
  • 3-5 years experience with program coordination, recruitment, marketing, instructional design, and faculty and student support, curriculum planning, and budget planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Professional communication/interpersonal skills and conflict management.
  • Strong skills in learning theories, adult learning principles, instructional technology (LMS, authoring tools, multimedia); Leadership; and Project management and program assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee curriculum development and delivery to ensure quality learning experiences for students.
  • Support consistent course design, curricular updates, effective assessment of student leaning and course assessment, including teaching orientation course modules for students and for faculty.
  • Responsible to lead and oversee program curriculum and operations to ensure implementation of strategic plans and attainment of projected outcomes.
  • Coordination and management of daily operations of the program.
  • Direct and indirect supervisory responsibility for program faculty and staff including recruiting, hiring/terminating personnel, adjunct faculty scheduling, delegation of duties to department program manager/s and administrative assistant/s (personnel allocation), conducting personnel evaluations, and faculty/staff development activities.
  • Oversee and support program marketing, including attending recruitment events and coordinating marketing outreach.
  • Recruiting, guiding, and advising students enrolled in the online audiology program, including conducting and analyzing student/graduate exit interviews and surveys.
  • Overseeing the admissions process for the online audiology program, tracking applications and supporting admissions review and interview processes.
  • Identification, justification, and allocation of resources and budgetary needs (budget development and monitoring).
  • Ensuring programmatic compliance with university accreditation standards, assisting with accreditation reporting and compliance documentation.
  • Ensuring programmatic compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with administration and other university departments/programs/service areas.
  • Participate in departmental, school, and university service and leadership through committees and events.
  • The Director of Curricular Coordination and Support provides programmatic oversight of the online AuD Program.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and promote strong academic reputation.
  • Programmatic and curricular leadership and oversight, including responsibility for curriculum development in collaboration with the Department Chair and curriculum committee, currency of course content and on-going improvement in course design and implementation.
  • Ensuring quality learning experiences for students and ensuring appropriate assessment of student performance.
  • Collaboration with support divisions across the university to optimize student recruitment and admissions (e.g., conference exhibit booths for recruitment, virtual open houses, online course tours, program marketing and follow-up with leads, application reviews and interview scheduling).
  • Responsible for conflict management and disciplinary actions for faculty, staff, and students within the program.
  • Facilitating faculty development activities related to the Department of Audiology.
  • Oversight of programmatic and departmental documents and literature (e.g., accreditation and education effectiveness/annual reports, program handbooks, program curriculum guides, catalog sections pertaining to the program, program website pages, program brochures and flyers).
  • Participation in and support of university events (e.g. graduation exercises, awards ceremonies, public relations/fundraising events, community relations and events).
  • Leadership and participation in departmental events such as white coat ceremonies and programmatic orientations.
  • Service to the university and the school through committees and task force participation as a program director.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, as delegated by the Chair.
