About The Position

The Director of Culture & Talent, U.S. is a senior HR leader responsible for delivering a high-impact people strategy across Alltech s U.S. operations. This role partners with business and operational leaders to implement Alltech s Culture & Talent (C&T) vision, define C&T objectives, build a capable and cohesive HR team, strengthen employee engagement, and implement methods that attract, develop, and retain great people. This role requires deep experience in multi-state HR leadership, manufacturing environments, and both union and non-union settings. The ideal candidate is a strategic partner who can also roll up their sleeves to create structure, drive improvement, and elevate leadership capability in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HR leadership roles, including supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience with both union and non-union environments, including labor relations and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR strategy, organizational change, complex employee relations, and leadership coaching.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, communication skills, and the ability to build trust across a wide range of roles and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and communicate a clear C&T vision for Alltech s U.S. business that aligns with organizational priorities.
  • Translate the C&T vision into focused and measurable objectives that guide decision-making and create clarity for leaders and teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership effectiveness across a multi-site footprint.
  • Use data, analytics, and evidence-based insights to understand organizational health and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, commercial, and functional leaders to anticipate needs and align HR support with business direction.
  • Build and execute strategies that strengthen Alltech s ability to attract and retain high-quality talent across U.S. operations, including manufacturing, commercial, and technical roles.
  • Ensure onboarding, performance management, and development processes create clarity, feedback, capability growth, and shared expectations.
  • Promote a culture of learning and growth by partnering with leaders to identify skill gaps, support development pathways, and strengthen employee capability.
  • Lead succession planning efforts for critical roles, helping leaders identify and develop future talent.
  • Ensure talent processes are consistent, equitable, and aligned with Alltech s culture and people strategy.
  • Foster an environment where employees feel informed, engaged, valued, and motivated to contribute to their fullest.
  • Promote inclusion and belonging across all U.S. sites by ensuring people feel respected and able to contribute meaningfully to the mission.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters with fairness, clarity, and consistency, providing trusted guidance to leaders.
  • Serve as the primary HR leader for labor relations at union-represented locations, including contract administration, grievance management, and partnership with operations leadership.
  • Help leaders and teams navigate organizational changes with adaptability, clear communication, and steady leadership presence.
  • Oversee U.S. compensation and benefits practices.
  • Ensure HR operations-HRIS, payroll coordination, reporting, and documentation-are accurate, compliant, and continually improving.
  • Build effective HR systems, workflows, and playbooks that create clarity and ensure consistent practices across the U.S. footprint.
  • Strengthen HR service delivery by leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance data visibility, and improve decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team that is capable of supporting a diverse, multi-site organization.
  • Develop the team through coaching, clarity, and ongoing capability building, ensuring strong alignment with the C&T vision and objectives.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence through effective communication and structured rhythms of work.
  • Cultivate a service-oriented, solutions-focused mindset within the Culture & Talent team to support leaders, teams, and employees at all levels.
