About The Position

The Director of Controlled Brands is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of our controlled brand portfolio. This individual is expected to possess exceptional brand management expertise, driving brand strategy, ensuring brand consistency, and overseeing all aspects of brand development. They will leverage their market research skills to identify opportunities, analyze consumer trends, and inform product innovation. This role requires a strong understanding of product development, from concept to launch, and the ability to manage a diverse team. The Director will also be responsible for Budget Management, Vendor Management, and Cross-Functional Collaboration to achieve business objectives. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of driving brand awareness and market share.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Brand Management, with a thorough knowledge of brand strategy and development.
  • Proven ability to conduct and analyze Market Research, with a working knowledge of research methodologies.
  • Experience in Product Development, from concept to launch, with a general knowledge of the product lifecycle.
  • Experience in Budget Management, with a working knowledge of financial principles and budgeting processes.
  • Strong leadership and Communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall brand strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of Brand Management, including brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Conduct thorough Market Research to identify consumer insights, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead Product Development initiatives, from concept to launch, ensuring products meet consumer needs and market demands.
  • Manage the brand budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on financial performance, demonstrating strong Budget Management skills.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, showcasing Vendor Management abilities.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration with marketing, sales, operations, and other departments to ensure brand success.
  • Provide Leadership and mentorship to the brand team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Effectively Communicate brand vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize Strategic Planning to develop long-term brand growth strategies.
