About The Position

Director of Community Services (ADL & DSA) Lead with Purpose. Build Programs. Change Lives. Access Community Care (ACC) is seeking a strategic, people-focused leader to serve as our Director of Community Services , overseeing both our ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and DSA (Day Support Activities) programs. In this role, you won’t just manage programs—you’ll shape services, develop teams, and drive meaningful outcomes for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) across the Portland metro area. What we offer: Competitive salary (DOE) Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off + paid holidays Health insurance + retirement options Mileage reimbursement Bonus opportunities Ongoing leadership development What You’ll Do Leadership & Operations Oversee day-to-day operations of both ADL and DSA departments Develop and implement systems to improve workflow, compliance, and service delivery Lead, coach, and support staff to build a strong, engaged team culture Partner with HR on performance management and staff development Program Growth & Strategy Grow and expand both programs through community outreach and client engagement Support intake, assessments, and onboarding of new individuals served Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with OARs, ODD, and all regulatory requirements Review incident reports and lead investigations as needed Oversee documentation, audits, and recertification processes Financial & Administrative Oversight Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance Monitor staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership (CEO/CFO) What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a leader who is: Strategic, organized, and solutions-focused A strong communicator and team builder Experienced in managing programs and people Passionate about supporting individuals with IDD Qualifications 2+ years of management or leadership experience (required) Experience in IDD services or a related human services field Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience) Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation, and service planning Ability to interpret and apply OARs (or willingness to learn) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record systems Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally Preferred: Experience with ADL and/or DSA programs Bilingual (English/Spanish) Key Responsibilities Snapshot Lead and grow ADL & DSA departments Oversee compliance, audits, and reporting Manage budgets and forecasting Support hiring, training, and staff development Ensure high-quality, person-centered services Drive continuous improvement across programs Make an Impact at the Leadership Level This is more than a director role—it’s an opportunity to build programs, develop people, and create lasting impact in your community . Requirements

  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience (required)
  • Experience in IDD services or a related human services field
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation, and service planning
  • Ability to interpret and apply OARs (or willingness to learn)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally
