About The Position

Access Community Care (ACC) is seeking a strategic, people-focused leader to serve as our Director of Community Services, overseeing both our ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and DSA (Day Support Activities) programs. In this role, you won’t just manage programs—you’ll shape services, develop teams, and drive meaningful outcomes for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) across the Portland metro area. Requirements

  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience (required)
  • Experience in IDD services or a related human services field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation, and service planning
  • Ability to interpret and apply OARs (or willingness to learn)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADL and/or DSA programs
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of both ADL and DSA departments
  • Develop and implement systems to improve workflow, compliance, and service delivery
  • Lead, coach, and support staff to build a strong, engaged team culture
  • Partner with HR on performance management and staff development
  • Grow and expand both programs through community outreach and client engagement
  • Support intake, assessments, and onboarding of new individuals served
  • Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with OARs, ODD, and all regulatory requirements
  • Review incident reports and lead investigations as needed
  • Oversee documentation, audits, and recertification processes
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership (CEO/CFO)
  • Lead and grow ADL & DSA departments
