JOB SUMMARY The Director of Community Engagement leads outreach, communications, and partnership strategies to strengthen connections between the organization and the community. This role advances awareness, access, and participation in early learning services by overseeing marketing, public relations, events, and literacy initiatives. The Director cultivates strategic partnerships and supports resource development efforts, including fundraising and donor engagement. By guiding a high-performing team and aligning all efforts with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, the Director maximizes community impact and organizational effectiveness. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY TASKS Promote organizational excellence by fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and accountability that values learning and a commitment to quality and impact. Design and develop community engagement initiatives that increase awareness across the community and service area. Oversee communication, marketing and advertising activities, outreach and event success, to ensure consistent messaging, strong community presence, measurable results, including effective implementation of literacy initiatives. Ensure all activities, including engagement, outreach, and community efforts are coordinated, efficient and aligned with organizational goals. Serve as the agency’s community liaison for partnerships. Maintain regular and effective communication with the leadership team to support alignment and informed decision-making.
