Twin Rivers Paper Company, headquartered in Madawaska, Maine, is an integrated specialty paper manufacturer producing 400,000 tons of paper per year for the packaging, publishing, label, and technical sectors. Scope: Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Commercial Operations will work to drive sales execution across the commercial organization. The incumbent will ensure that sales leaders have the processes, tools, data and insights needed to grow revenue efficiently and predictably.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or economics (MBA is preferred)
  • 7+ years’ experience in a commercial financial analysis role with increasing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking, a bias towards action, gaining commitment, decision quality, and perspective.
  • Hands-on experience owning CRM platform and sales analytics
  • Must be expert level user of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Customer facing and direct sales experience a plus
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing industries strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Providing analytical support to and insights the commercial managers on key strategic initiatives. This includes data analysis, collection and assimilating into a cohesive project plan and charter
  • Managing all monthly report-outs to Senior Management including S&OP, Sales Dashboard, Sales Pipeline, Key Account Plans, Product Line Trends, and New Product Development initiatives
  • Using analytical skills to define pricing strategies for new and existing products, to include consideration of competitive pricing models, internal costs, value proposition metrics (e.g. savings to clients, process costs, etc.), and market acceptance and adoption rates
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Serve as business owner for CRM and related sales technologies. Includes driving CRM adoption, reporting, system enhancements and training
  • Project and data analytics (3PL, freight optimization, product line analysis)
  • Performing financial analysis on key product categories
  • Business Intelligence (competitive analysis, market trends, market segmentation)
  • Analyzing and understanding the external environment including macro/micro economic conditions, competition & customers in order to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Working cross-functionally within the Twin Rivers organizational structure to ensure a cohesive and fluid exchange of information with their peers (Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Product Development, Procurement, Finance)
  • Providing analytical analysis on end-use market segments and distribution channels that best fit our capabilities and develop our participation strategies to capture additional share
