About The Position

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Director of Clinical Services position. Visit us online at: https://forestviewhospital.com/ The Director of Clinical Services oversees our team of Inpatient Clinicians (LMSW, LPC, TLLP. LMFT, etc) who help to assess, supervise, monitor, and plan treatment services for patients and their families or significant others.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline with licensure in the state of Michigan. LMSW Preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years experience in supervision of a clinical team strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervision of a multi-disciplinary team with appropriate clinical supervision preferred.
  • Completed training and ongoing education in various treatment modalities and administrative techniques related to mental health, substance abuse and/or eating disorder issues of adult and adolescent persons suffering acute psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the use of person-centered planning and monitors the effectiveness of multi-disciplinary treatment team process. Communicates with other service providers both internally and externally for a continuum level of care coordination.
  • Monitors patient/family satisfaction and treatment outcomes.
  • Monitors staffing levels and workload assignments for the case-managers/therapists, activity staff, and clinical dietitians.
  • Works in conjunction with the Staff Development Coordinator and Human Resources Director to monitor and ensure that appropriate licensure, certification, and employee training needs are met for all clinical staff.
