About The Position

As Director of Clinical Services overseeing Arc Hospice & Palliative Care’s North Central Florida locations, you will lead interdisciplinary teams across Gainesville, Ocala, and Leesburg, ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory readiness across a multi-site region. This role is ideal for an experienced RN leader with hospice expertise and a passion for empowering teams. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and coordination of hospice and palliative clinical operations across assigned locations. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state licensure requirements, and organizational policies while fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Current RN license in the state of operation or valid multistate compact license, meeting all state-specific lead clinical requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hospice or related home health management experience
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice or related healthcare setting as required by state regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise interdisciplinary clinical teams
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation and state hospice regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and clinical reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all direct and indirect patient care services delivered by the hospice clinical team
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate clinical operations to promote quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation and maintenance of patient records
  • Lead quality assessment, performance improvement initiatives, and survey preparedness activities
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and counsel clinical staff as needed
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure ongoing staff competency and professional development
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care needs in collaboration with the Medical Director and IDG
  • Support orientation, in-service education, and mentoring of emerging clinical leaders
  • Oversee clinical supplies, equipment, and infection prevention practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and referral sources
  • Uphold patient- and family-centered care aligned with individual goals and preferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned
