About The Position

Persistent Systems is seeking a Director of Business Development, UxS who will be responsible for strategically growing business by identifying and establishing new customer relationships, as well as maintaining our existing ones, in the industry and government space. You will also be responsible for capturing business, managing high revenue accounts, and assisting with programmatic measures to ensure that customers receive the best products and services available for their needs. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating and implementing strategies that will expand Persistent Systems’ customer base on a global scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent military/industry experience
  • At least 5 years of Sales/Business Development experience with commercial and Government customers
  • Experience in a senior-level sales role working with customers in the Defense industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) and network theory
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development with a demonstrated track record of revenue growth with large Defense companies

Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential new customers; managing and developing existing customer relationships and government program offices
  • Develop, manage, and grow a network of UxS Long-Term Agreement (LTA) Partners
  • Developing sales strategies and unique selling propositions to meet sales targets
  • Collaborating with Sales and Engineering to identify development opportunities
  • Developing and retaining existing customer relationships by presenting solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Managing key accounts after the initial integration and sale
  • Creating business proposals, handling initial negotiations, and closing business deals as part of a team
  • Identifying industry and marketing events and trade shows that will provide opportunities to expand the company’s customer base
  • Organizing and traveling to customer sites and trade shows to identify new business opportunities and strengthen current customer relationships
  • Conducting presentations for large groups of internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhering to established sales-administrative processes that allow for the transparent flow of communication between sales and internal operations teams
