About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Business Development to drive EG4’s growth in the distribution channel, new business verticals and through hardware and software partnerships. Reporting to the EG4 GM, this role will focus on developing strategic sales growth objectives within current sales channel and new verticals, establishing and nurturing relationships with key partners and meeting revenue targets set forth by EG4 leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Renewable Energy Sales.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% of time, including tradeshow attendance and visits to strategic partner locations.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to showcase unique value propositions to customers leveraging the EG4 solution set.
  • Self-starter with ability to develop strategic activities to unlock new channel and thrive in fast paced environment.
  • Understanding of region-specific energy system dynamics to influence market approach.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to executive teams effectively.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with key partners

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective sales strategy to grow EG4 sales across multiple channel partners and across product lines.
  • Build tools and processes to support existing customer base and strengthen customer relations.
  • Manage business relationships with existing customer base, including distribution and equipment partners, including MSAs, sales strategies and sales promotions.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with national, regional, and local partners to expand EG4’s reach with new customers and into new verticals not currently serviced by company.
  • Lead RFPs and coordination of large sales opportunities specifying EG4 equipment. Work cross functionally as project manager to execute on opportunities with key EG4 stakeholders.
  • Act as subject matter expert in energy storage system sales cycle and market trends. Provide regular feedback to product and engineering teams to help improve EG4’s positioning within market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials aimed at resellers and end-users alike, highlighting EG4’s unique value and differentiators.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key business partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and alignment with EG4’s goals.
