About The Position

The budget director is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the company's annual operating and capital budgets. They ensure that financial resources are aligned with strategic goals while maintaining fiscal control and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using advanced data analysis tools and software (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, ERP Systems).
• Ability to explain complex technical financial information in a clear, non-technical format to diverse audiences.
• Capability to align financial planning with long-term organizational vision and goals.
• Precision in reviewing budget estimates and financial reports for accuracy and conformance with regulations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
• 5 to 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting or finance, including significant managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting processes, including the formulation of operating and capital budgets.
• Conduct complex financial analysis and modeling to estimate future revenue and expenditure needs.
• Analyze actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying and reporting on causes for budget variances.
• Develop and implement budgetary policies, guidelines, and internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff, including budget analysts and managers.
• Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and boards, presenting budget data to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads to review budget requests and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
