Smadex, an advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and acquired by Entravision in 2018, powers campaigns for Apps, Games, and Brands across Mobile and CTV using advanced machine learning and optimized creative strategies. Smadex is a fast-growing DSP, and this role is crucial for their ambitious plans. The Director of AdOps will ensure operational excellence, performance against client KPIs, and strategic oversight across all programmatic campaigns. This role acts as a bridge between Commercial, Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Ad Ops, driving scalable strategies, supervising complex campaigns, and mentoring the team to high standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in programmatic advertising, DSP management, or mobile performance marketing
  • Proven team leadership and operational management experience, managing complex accounts and campaigns
  • Strong expertise in RTB mechanics, bidding strategies, inventory management, and performance optimization
  • Experience collaborating with Commercial, Product, and technical teams
  • Solid understanding of attribution, fraud prevention, and privacy-compliant measurement
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and elevate teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop a complete understanding of Smadex platform, capabilities and industry
  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring full budget delivery while meeting performance goals
  • Maximize long-term company's gross profit
  • Establish a direct and smooth relationship with the Client Services team
  • Lead a team of Strategy Managers, Campaign Managers and Campaign Analysts
  • Coordinate hiring, new joiners’ training and team’s continuous knowledge sharing and improvement
  • Guarantee an adequate level of service for the Commercial teams in the US region
  • Coordinate cooperation between your team and AdOps Innovation, Data Science, Product and Tech based in Barcelona HQ
  • Help minimize the current growth threats campaigns might have
  • Maximize long term company's gross profit
